Junior Kindergarten

A five-day per week program, the Junior Kindergarten program is designed for children who are chronologically eligible to enter Kindergarten but would benefit from another year of preschool, and for children who will turn 5 years old between September 1st and December 1st.  The emphasis of Junior Kindergarten is Kindergarten readiness through the gentle but concerted introduction to the social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills necessary for success in a formal Kindergarten setting. The smaller class size of Junior Kindergarten affords our highly educated and experienced teachers the opportunity to identify the strengths, challenges, interests, and opportunities for growth in each student as well as the flexibility to adjust curriculum goals accordingly.  Off-site field trips and visits from Expert Presenters provide further enriching, meaningful, and fun learning experiences for our students.
